RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Direct the City Clerk to post for vacancies on the Personnel Board of Review.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Personnel Board of Review was established by the personnel system ordinance and primarily acts as an advisory board to the City Manager. The Board consists of five (5) members, appointed by the Lodi City Council to hear and determine employee appeals to any situation involving employees' status or conditions of employment, including disciplinary matters. Meetings are scheduled as needed.
Due to term expirations, there are five (5) vacancies on the Personnel Board of Review. Staff recommends posting for these vacancies until filled.
Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application.
