BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The “Balancing Act” simulation allowed participants to allocate limited City resources with an $80 million cap to the General Fund. The $80 million revenue constraint is approximately the available revenue in Fiscal Year 2023/24. The simulation was set with pre-set budgets for the General Fund departments, alongside a selection of unfunded strategic priorities that the participants could choose to finance.
The simulation was available for Lodi community participation from December 15, 2023 to January 31, 2024 and was accessible on the City’s webpage and Facebook page. The following presentation will illustrate the results of the Lodi residents’ input outlining their priorities.
