BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Municipal Clerks Week is an annual celebration and reflection on the importance of the Clerk's Office and the vital services they provide for local government and in our City. The Office of the City Clerk is the oldest among public servants and provides the professional link between the citizens, the local governing bodies and agencies of government at other levels.

The City Clerk serves as the information center on functions of local government and community, while serving as the Election Official for the City, acting as the liaison between the City and the County during municipal elections.
City Clerks continually strive to improve the administration of the affairs of the Office of the City Clerk through serving the Council, the various City departments and the citizens of our community pursuant to state statute and in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner that lends itself to bringing respect and dignity to the City we serve.
