BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Pursuant to City Council direction provided at the April 2, 2024, special meeting, recruiter Paul Kimura of Avery and Associates, Inc. negotiated employment terms with City Manager candidate Scott Carney. In accordance with the agreed terms, attached draft City Manager Employment Agreement with Scott Carney (“Agreement”). The Agreement provides that he is to be employed as the City Manager for the City of Lodi beginning on June 3, 2024, for a term of three years. Under the Agreement, Mr. Carney will be paid a base salary of $275,000.00, with the option of a one-time $5,000 increase to his base salary upon relocating to the City of Lodi.

The employment agreement reflects an initial annual base salary of $275,000.
FUNDING AVAILABLE:
No cost in excess of the current budget.
