BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Mayor has been requested to present a proclamation proclaiming the month of August 2024 as “National Breastfeeding Awareness Month” in the City of Lodi.
National Breastfeeding Awareness Month is observed annually to raise awareness and to address barriers to human milk feeding faced by families across the United States and around the world. The theme for this year’s Breastfeeding Awareness Month is “Nourish, Sustain, Thrive” and each week is celebrated with a different sub-theme to encourage support and reduce breastfeeding disparities.
