RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt a Resolution Approving an Increase to the City Manager’s Salary Pursuant to Article 7 (a) of the City Manager’s Employment Contract, Effective July 16, 2024.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The employment contract with Mr. Scott Carney, City Manager, contains a provision for an increase of $5,000 to his annual base salary upon proof of a property purchase agreement, rental agreement or lease, and utility records that he has relocated and is occupying a residence within the City.
Mr. Carney provided proof of residency to the City Attorney who has verified that he is eligible for the increase in base salary.
The new base salary for the City Manager shall be $280,000, effective July 16, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The additional $5,000 will be absorbed in the FY 2024/25 budget.
