BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Mayor has been requested to present a proclamation proclaiming the month of August 2024 as “Children’s Vision and Learning Month” in the City of Lodi.
Given that more than 80 percent of classroom learning relies on the visual system, parents, educators, school nurses, and other concerned adults are encouraged to work together to help prevent and minimize the impact of poor vision on our children’s reading and learning abilities.
Dr. Bill Henshaw, Optometrist in Lodi, California, will be at the meeting to accept the proclamation.
