BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Haynes Brothers Investments, LLC (Haynes Brothers) entered into a Tow Service Contract with the Lodi Police Department on January 30, 2023, and has since sold the company. They now wish to assign the contract to WOG Enterprises Inc., a California corporation (WOG Enterprises).
The Lodi Police Department maintains a rotational list of towing companies to impound vehicles for investigative purposes as evidence in a criminal case, remove vehicles involved in accidents or other emergency situations, impound tows for suspended/unlicensed drivers, abandoned or inoperative vehicles, and any other tows requested by police personnel.
The agreement between the City and Haynes Brothers was approved by City Council on January 18, 2023. All terms and conditions of that contract remain in effect with the proposed assignment to WOG Enterprises.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Towing costs are included in the 2024/25 budget-no additional funding is needed.
