BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Mayor will present a proclamation proclaiming the month of September 15 - October 15, 2024 as Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually to celebrate the accomplishments of Hispanic Americans, who have enriched our culture and society and helped make America the incredible country it is today. This year’s theme of “Pioneers of Change; Shaping the Future Together,” invites us to celebrate Hispanic heritage by recognizing the significant strides of Hispanic Americans in the economic, political, and social growth of the United States. It encourages us to reflect on all the contributions of Hispanic Americans in the past, present and the future.
