The flooring inside of the Lodi Police Department dispatch area and jail monitoring area consists of carpet tiles. The previous carpet had stains from various spills and water leaks over the years. This project removed and replaced approximately 2,075 square feet of carpet square and adjacent base molding.
Staff utilized the informal bid process of the City's Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) portion of the adopted purchasing policy (for projects estimated below $200,000). Bids were received on August 30, 2024, with Carpetland being the lowest bidder (see breakdown below).

The contractor started work on January 27, 2025, and completed the work on January 31, 2025. The contract was completed in substantial conformance with the specifications approved by City Council. The final contract price was the same as the original ($17,764). Photos are attached as Exhibit A.
Following acceptance by the City Council, as required by law, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office.
