Adopt a resolution authorizing an increase to the Lodi Electric Utility Office Improvements Capital Improvement Project budget and appropriating funds in the amount of $10,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Last year, Lodi Electric Utility (LEU) entered into a Professional Services Agreement and a more recent Amendment No. 1 with Durst Office Designs, Inc. ("Durst") to reconfigure existing LEU offices (collectively the "Agreement"). The total amount of the Agreements $57,732.29.
The initial work included the addition of workstations to accommodate new staff, as well as the reconfiguration of existing space, to improve communication amongst work groups and improve operational efficiencies. Later work addressed the need to replace old, dilapidated flooring in the Field Services Office. The current LEU Office Improvements Capital Improvement Project (CIP) has an approved budget of $50,000 for Fiscal Year 2024/25. The later work was anticipated to take place in Fiscal Year 2025/26 for which City Council recently authorized $100,000 for the LEU Office Improvements CIP. However, LEU is expediting the flooring replacement while the current space is vacant to prevent disruption to staff and operations. Therefore, additional funds are needed in the current fiscal year. It is anticipated that all funds programmed for next fiscal year will be utilized as LEU continues to work to address and improve its limited space and aging facilities. The addition of $10,000 to Fiscal Year 2024/25 budget for this project will cover the cost of the flooring replacement as well as any minor expenses that may arise prior to June 30, 2025.
