BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Visit Lodi conducted a sports tourism strategic plan to analyze facilities and market the city as an athletic destination. The study, completed by Visit Lodi’s consultant, Huddle Up Group, LLC, serves as a foundation for future sports tourism, venue and event development efforts. The detailed findings include a SWOT analysis of Visit Lodi’s organization and destination as it relates to sports tourism, an overview and evaluation of venue inventory within the area, benchmarking of Visit Lodi’s sports tourism efforts and recommendations to enhance Lodi’s sports tourism tool kit moving forward.
Council shall receive a presentation on the findings from Wes Rhea, Visit Lodi’s President and CEO.
