The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, Senate Bill 1 (“SB 1”), will provide the City with State transportation funding through an increase in the Gas Tax.
SB1 guidelines require that prior to receiving an apportionment of funds for this fiscal year, agencies must prepare and submit a list of proposed SB 1-funded projects to the California Transportation Commission. All proposed projects must also be included or amended into the City’s adopted budget each year. The City is proposing to use the Fiscal Year 2024/25 allocation (estimated $1,696,594).
