BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On June 20, 2022, the City executed a Professional Services Agreement with LDA Partners, Inc. for design and construction document services for the City of Lodi Animal Services Facility. The procurement for this contract was conducted in accordance with Lodi Municipal Code Section 3.20.075. LDA Partners was recommended by staff to perform this work based on their extensive experience in designing animal shelters for public agencies. The scope of work includes schematic design, design development (including civil, landscaping, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical, construction documents) construction administration, and cost estimating. Additional Services provided include topographic survey of site with utility locations, and geotechnical services.
On July 29, 2024 the City executed the construction contract for the City of Lodi Animal Services Facility. The task of conducting construction administration services during construction was included in the original scope of work with the LDA Partners, Inc. Professional Services Agreement; however, the term of this agreement expired on May 31, 2024.
On August 21, 2024, Council approved Amendment No, 1, which extended the term of the Professional Services Agreement through November 30, 2025 (and did not add funds).
Amendment No, 2, if approved, will extend the term of the Professional Services Agreement through August 31, 2026 and will not add funds. This extension will allow the construction administration services to continue through the completion of the building and will allow additional time beyond that to complete then necessary record drawings.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. No additional funds are requested for the Professional Services Agreement.
