BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Crossroads Software, Inc., entered into an Agreement for Professional Services on September 19, 2023, and has since sold the company to its employees. They now wish to assign the contract to KAM Software Technologies, Inc., a California corporation doing business as Crossroads Software, Inc.
The Crossroads citation writing system, known as e-Citations, allows officers to scan driver’s license and vehicle registration cards to automatically upload and import offender’s data into a cellular phone-based application. This data is then formatted in the application to complete a citation. Crossroads also provides an electronic CHP 180 tow form that allows the same functionality for officers to scan and upload vehicle owners’ information. Completing the form will enable an officer to sign it electronically, email it to the tow companies, involved parties, and dispatch for entry into the CLETS/SVS.
The increase in demand for reporting within Law Enforcement agencies necessitates that we look for areas in which we can streamline the process to provide the most efficient use of our resources and employee time to ensure we are giving our community the best service and quick response times.
The agreement between the City and Crossroads Software, Inc., was approved by City Council on September 6, 2023. All terms and conditions of that contract remain in effect with the proposed assignment to KAM Software Technologies, Inc.
