RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement for Contract Planning Services with Interwest Consulting Group, Inc., a Colorado Corporation, to Extend the Term to June 30, 2025, in an Amount Not to Exceed $10,000, for a Total Contract Amount Not to Exceed $190,000

body

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

On June 2, 2023, the City Council approved the execution of a one-year professional services agreement in the amount of $180,000, with an option to renew and extend for one year, with Interwest Consulting Group, Inc. to provide contract planning services. The one-year term will expire at the end of June 2024. While the contracted amount of $180,000 is anticipated to be fully expended by the end of the fiscal year, additional contract planning services in the amount of $10,000 are needed to wrap up the targeted General Plan Environmental Impact Report (“EIR”) update for Vehicle Miles Traveled (“VMT”) purposes. Because the contract term will expire at the end of June 2024, a one-year extension for a total amount not to exceed $190,000 is required to complete this work.

The subject agreement and this amendment is for professional/technical services, that include on-going, recurring services, where the continuity of contract staff who are familiar with the community and its issues are in the best interest of the City. Thus, solicitation of competitive bid proposals for these services are not required pursuant to Lodi Municipal Code Sections 3.20.070-075.

STRATEGIC VISION:
