BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The City has contracted with Gallagher Benefit Services (“GALLAGER”) to complete a citywide total compensation study.  As part of the total compensation study, Gallagher staff will gather data from sixteen comparable agencies.  During preliminary discussions with Gallagher, Human Resources staff realized that the scope of the project needed to be expanded to include agencies that have comparable Electric Utility specific classifications.

Gallagher will contact six Electric Utility agencies, in addition to the sixteen comparable agencies, to survey the eighteen Electric Utility classifications that will be included in the citywide compensation study.  The cost to survey these additional six agencies was not included in the initial Professional Services Agreement.

Staff is requesting authorization to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with Gallagher in order to gather comparable electric utility compensation data.
