BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for two expiring terms expiring terms on the Lodi Improvement Committee on April 2, 2025, two expiring terms on the Library Board of Trustees on May 7, 2025, three expiring terms on the Lodi Arts Commission on May 7, 2025, one expiring term on Planning Commission on April 2, 2025, one vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission (Adult Advisors) on April 2, 2025, and four expiring terms on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission (Student Member) on April 2, 2025.
The Mayor reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends the City Council concur with the appointments as detailed below.
There are two expired terms on the Planning Commission, two expired terms on the Parks & Recreation Commission, two vacancies on the Lodi Improvement Committee, one vacancy on the Senior Citizens Commission, one vacancy on the Lodi Arts Commission, and one vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission (Student Member). It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for these vacancies until they are filled.
Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application.
