RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt a Resolution authorizing City Manager to accept a donation in the amount of $25,000 from the Constance E. Reynolds Trust for the Lodi Public Library and appropriate funds to the Library’s collection donation account.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Lodi Public Library serves as a vital community resource, offering books, media, technology, and educational programs for residents of all ages. To support these efforts, the Constance E. Reynolds Trust has generously offered a donation in the amount of $25,000. The donation has no specific designation and will be used to for a future library project. Acceptance of donations over $500 requires City Council approval. Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to accept the $25,000 donation from the Constance E. Reynolds Trust and appropriate the funds into the Library’s donation account until an appropriate project for expenditure is identified.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This donation will increase Library Fund revenue and expense by $25,000 and future expenditure, which will be applied once a project has been identified.
