BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On June 25, 2026, at approximately 1635 hours, Lodi Fire Department units responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 400 block of Harold Street. Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire involving the backyard and attic of one residence, with fire extending to a neighboring home. The fire also caused a power pole to fall, resulting in energized electrical lines becoming involved in the fire.
Lodi Fire personnel, supported by mutual aid partners, coordinated an aggressive fire attack that brought the incident under control in approximately 20 minutes, preventing further extension into the surrounding neighborhood. The fire displaced six adults and one child, however, there were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
Mayor Yepez, on behalf of the Lodi City Council, will recognize the outstanding teamwork demonstrated by all responding fire personnel, including members of Woodbridge Fire District and Waterloo Morada Fire District for their rapid mutual aid response and seamless cooperation throughout the incident.
Mayor Yepez will also recognize Lodi Police Department (LPD) and Lodi Electric Utility (LEU). LPD officers responded to the location to assist Lodi Fire with traffic control for the multi-structure fire. Six officers and two detectives had to shut down multiple intersections to keep fire safe from vehicles entering the area.
