BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
At its April 2, 2025 Special meeting, Council received and approved the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Mid-Year Budget Adjustments report. Included in that report was the creation of the new classification of Associate Transportation Planner, approval of the salary range, and reclassification of one Assistant Transportation Planner to an Associate Transportation Planner. The reclassification was processed with an effective date of April 14, 2025, which is the first full pay period after adoption of the Mid-Year Budget. The Public Works Director had requested that the reclassification be effective as of December 23, 2024; however, the request for retro-active implementation was inadvertently left out of the Mid-Year Budget report. The Budget Manager included the funding for the reclassification of the Associate Transportation Planner in the Public Works budget, retro-actively to December 23, 2024; as such, there is no additional fiscal impact to the budget for this retro-active reclassification. Staff is requesting that Council approve the reclassification of one Assistant Transportation Planner to Associate Transportation Planner, retro-actively to December 23, 2024.
