BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On August 22, 2024, the City of Lodi entered into an Agreement for Professional Services with RRM Design Group for the Downtown Specific Plan (DTSP). The agreement includes preparation and implementation related to the DTSP, a key City Council Strategic Goal intended to guide Downtown revitalization, economic development, historic preservation, placemaking, and infrastructure investment.

The DTSP was approved by the Planning Commission on May 13, 2026, and is scheduled for City Council on June 3, 2026. Through efficient project management and completion of major planning deliverables slightly under the original project budget, approximately $137,000 in remaining contract funds are available within the existing agreement.

RRM Design Group has requested a one-year extension of the agreement term to allow the City to continue applying the remaining contract funds toward implementation-related work directly tied to the DTSP. These funds are part of the City's previously approved General Fund investment in the Downtown Specific Plan and would remain dedicated to advancing work already underway under the existing agreement.
