Adopt a resolution repealing and replacing resolution no. 2023-98 and adopting a revised Lodi City Council Strategic Vision.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On May 17, 2023, the Lodi City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-98, approving the City’s Strategic Vision consisting of priorities and milestones.
On January 28, 2026, the Lodi City Council held a Special Council Meeting at Hutchins Street Square to discuss and revise the Strategic Vision to align with the Councils current priorities for the City. The revised Strategic Vision, (a clean version is included as “Attachment 1” and a redline version showing changes is included as “Attachment 2”), categorizes the priorities in alphabetical order and are in bold, followed by the milestones.
These revised priorities collectively represent the current Strategic Vision of the Lodi City Council and should be utilized by staff as the foundation upon which future workplans are based and resource allocation decisions are made. Each department will show how these priorities align with their accomplishments in the City’s annual budget book.
Per Council direction at the February 18, 2026 City Council regular meeting, the City Clerk continued this item to the Regular Calendar of the March 4th meeting.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to adopting the Strategic Vision. Strategic Priorities and Milestones each have many potential strategies with varying costs. The fiscal impact of addressing each priority will be communicated annually through the budget process.
