Adopt a resolution authorizing the Interim City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with Waterproofing Associates, Inc., of Lodi, for on-call citywide roof repair services in the amount of $40,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Public Works Facilities Division has a contract for on-call roof repair with Waterproofing Associates, Inc. of Lodi. The contract was originally executed by the City Manager on June 13, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $60,000 and expires on June 30, 2027. This contract is utilized for roof repairs at all city-owned facilities. The amount spent each year varies depending on the number of water leaks in a given year. The past two winters have caused numerous leaks, and the majority of the contract amount has now been spent. There are immediate needs for roof repairs at multiple buildings, and this amendment will allow these roof repairs to be completed, ensuring that those facilities do not see additional impacts from the leaks. Amendment No. 1, if approved, will add $40,000 to the contract for a total not to exceed amount of $100,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The repair of leaking roofs is necessary to ensure the safety of City staff and the public, and to ensure protection from additional rain-related damage to city facilities.
FUNDING AVAILABLE:
This contract, including this additional amount, is funded through various operating accounts that were previously approved in the adopted Fiscal Year 2025/26 Budget and accounts that will be approved with future budget adoptions.
